Endangered:

S.S. Catalina Preservation Association Commissioned by Wm. Wrigley, Jr., the $1 million S.S. Catalina carried over 20 million passengers between 1924 to 1975, more than any other ship in history. The ship is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, registered as a California State Historical Landmark and a City of Los Angeles Historical Cultural Monument. Out of service since 1985, the ship now sits partially submerged and abandoned at the Port of Ensenada in Mexico. Recent inspections have shown that Catalina can be repaired and refloated. The Mexican government has donated the ship to the S.S. Catalina Preservation Association, but finances are needed to refloat and stabilize her, and tow her back to the United States. Please help this effort! More details here.
