Pending a decision by City Council on Tuesday, January 12, the
Corpus Christi Memorial Coliseum could be under demolition by March. With preservation alerts being initiated by
Preservation Texas, hopes are that the city will decide to restore the coliseum rather than demolish it for new development plans. The building, desgined by architect Richard Colley, who also designed the former city hall, in 1954, has set vacant since 2004.
