The Villa Cavrois at Croix, near Roubaix, in the North of France, ca. 1932, by Robert Mallet-Stevens
The Association for the Preservation of the Villa Cavrois was founded in 1990 aiming to make the authorities and the largest public possible aware of the destiny of the villa Cavrois (1929-1932), masterwork of modern architecture designed by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens (1886-1945) and located at Croix, near Roubaix in the north of France. This villa, despite its registration as a National Historic Monument in 1990 is left in a state of disrepair since its sale to a land speculator/developer. The Association strives to promote this architecture to give it back to the public. More details here.
